SSC CHSL Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The SSC CHSL 2026 selection process will be conducted in two stages: Tier-I and Tier-II. Candidates who qualify Tier-I will be shortlisted for Tier-II.

  1. Tier-I – Computer Based Examination: Candidates will first appear for the Tier-I exam. Based on their performance and cut-off, candidates will be shortlisted for Tier-II.
  2. Tier-II – Computer Based Examination: Tier-II consists of Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning and General Intelligence, English Language and Comprehension, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge Test and Skill Test/Typing Test. Candidates must qualify all the required sections.
  3. Computer Knowledge Test: The Computer Knowledge Test is mandatory and qualifying in nature. Candidates must qualify this section as per the prescribed standard.
  4. Skill Test/Typing Test: The Skill Test is mandatory for DEO posts, while LDC/JSA candidates have to qualify the prescribed Typing Test, subject to applicable exemptions.
  5. Final Selection: Final merit will be prepared on the basis of Tier-II Section-I and Section-II marks, subject to qualifying Sections III and IV. Final post allotment will be based on merit and post preference.
